We are happy to introduce a new service to our website that will allow you get medical handouts online: e-handouts. You can find the section on our side menu. As time goes on, we will add more handouts. If you have a particular interest, let us know, and we will add that topic to our e-handout selection. If you or your organization are interested in contributing an article please email Dr. Esmond. Special Thank you to all the medical associations that will be contributing to this section.
Dr. Pham has finished writing up the Diabetic Diet, and you can find it in the special diet section of the website. Also check out our NEW Clinic Handouts section, where you'll find medical sheets and hand outs on various topics. If you don't see one that you are looking for, just email us, and Dr. Pham and I will write one up and post it for you.
Everything is back to normal routine here at the clinic. The weather has been colder, and so its important to dress warmly and drink plenty of fluids. Keep on eye on the weather for cold alert days, as these days people are prone to getting frost bite. If you plan to travel be cautious of countries with avian flu preponderance ie: south east Asia or Turkey (Check out the fluwatch.ca section for information regarding this). Dr. Esmond will be holding a Hepatitis A clinic, where people can come in get vaccinated for Hepatitis A. If you are interested in this, please email Dr. Esmond and we'll get back to you. Don't forget everyone needs to have their tetanus shot at least every 10 years.
We are now officially online from the Clinic, which we will mean we will have even more timely news updates regarding medical issues, and issues of the clinic. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. Submit any topics you wish covered in our Journal pages, by sending Doctor Esmond a message. Please do not send me symptoms, and ask for a diagnosis. The purpose of this website is to educate and inform patients, not to diagnosis and treat people over the internet. As most of patients know by now, I prefer to dealing with patients in person, not on the phone or via email. Have a great year!
