Rules and Regulations of Dr. Esmond's Practice
This is a summary of some of our regulations. The actual Rules and Regulations have been posted in the waiting room since 2002. These rules were put in place to make the clinic run smoother and to continue to offer top quality medical care.
1. Dr. Esmond runs his Family Practice on an appointment basis only.
2. Call in the morning if you have a fever, flu, or cold symptom and we will see if there are any openings so we can see you. We have a daily flu clinic between 130 and 2pm where we see patients with colds and flus, but you must call first to make sure it is not full.
3. We will do our best to see children with an illness or fever on the same day, but please call first thing in the morning, so we can plan the day accordingly.
4. We do injections and prescription repeats during the following times: daily between 130 and 2pm, and between 400 and 430. Just come in and tell the secretary "prescription/injection only".
5. All forms require a booked appointment. Dr. Esmond needs to sit down with you and go over the form, so he can fill it out properly. If you just show up with the form, you will be asked to book an appointment and return on that day.
6. 48 notification is required for an appointment cancellation. We no longer do the No Show Fee. Instead we RED FLAG no shows. If there are a number of No Shows, Dr. Esmond reserves the right to terminate the Doctor Patient Relationship
7. We have a zero tolerance policy to abuse to the staff or doctors in the clinic. If any patient screams, yells, or swears at any of our staff, they will be asked to leave the clinic. This is a family clinic and we have children in the waiting room.
8. Please avoid walking into the hallways to ask the doctors a question when its not your turn. Please wait for your appointment time. The hallway is considered a private area of the clinic. Only staff and patients being seen for their appointment are allowed in this area of the clinic. This protects your privacy and allows the doctors to work uninterrupted.
9. Appointment times are not guaranteed due to the emergency and medical nature of the practice. We do our best to stay on time, but emergencies can arise at any time. We do not double book patients, and we do not accept walk ins during appointment times. This is the reason we created the 30 minute injection/prescription slots at the end of the morning and afternoon.
10. Dr. Esmond is currently not accepting any patients.
